Best Industrial Sensors | G-TECH Instruments Inc
Industrial sensors are crucial to modern automated industrial systems. They assist in collecting, processing, and transferring data to ensure that industrial processes operate smoothly and to monitor and diagnose machines during these operations.
At G-TECH, we excel in designing and manufacturing modern industrial sensors that are powered by Industry 4.0 principles such as Industrial IoT. These sensors can be described as smart devices, as they use IoT principles to collect, store, process, and transfer data. In this article, we look at three of the sensors manufactured by G-TECH Instruments Inc.:
- The first is the DSR-35 vibration sensor
- The A52–IR, the patented dual sensor used in the vPod Pro.
- The ArmourG crash detector and recorder
Let's see how your predictive maintenance strategy could benefit from incorporating one or all three of these industrial sensors. Read on to learn more.

1. DS-R35 Vibration Sensor
The DS-R35 balances toughness with cutting-edge precision. This sensor delivers accurate machine health monitoring, even under the harshest industrial and operational conditions.
It's a device that is both hardy and comprehensive in its functionality. Its IP67 rating proves just how tough it is and shows that it can function in rough industrial or field settings. Its up to 5kHz high frequency response means that this sensor is ideal for vibration monitoring in the following areas:
- General machine health
- Wind turbines
- Equipment in the energy industry
- Industrial automation processes
- Robotic and automation equipment
- Rail transport
With G-TECH's DS-R35, you are guaranteed a vibration sensor that can help you avoid any unwanted surprises in your operations. In fact, we are confident that it can bring you one step closer to your goal of zero downtime. To learn more, check out our product page .
2. The vPod Pro Sensor: A52–IR
The A52-IR is the sensor that powers G-TECH's vPod Pro portable vibrometer. The device is sleek and can be described as innovative and finely tuned. What makes it so special are these amazing features:
- Its high-strength magnetic base.
- Its embedded infrared thermometer.
- Its high-performance IEPE accelerometer.
These features allow the vPod Pro to detect and measure both vibration and temperature signals simultaneously. Plus, the A52-IR can perform precise measurement of vibration signals at a 1~8 kHz frequency range.
The high-strength magnetic base makes it ideal for employing on hard metal surfaces that is common in industrial settings. The infrared temperature sensor located under the sensor measures both vibration signals and temperature values via the opening in the center of the magnetic seat.
The vPod Pro is already a light, rugged, and portable vibration analyzer. The sleekly designed and innovative A52-IR just makes it even more versatile and an indispensable part of your predictive maintenance toolkit. 3. ArmourG: Crash Detection & Recorder
ArmourG is an accelerometer and more. It's a 3-axis collision avoidance system that our engineers at G-TECH designed to detect and record tool/robot collision signals, which can effectively reduce collision damage to your machine.
ArmourG is an integrated sensor and electronic components monitoring box with an impressively high-bandwidth 3-axis accelerometers (ie, X, Y, and Z). The device was built for high-performance, and its less than 1 ms of relay triggering time during collision is a testament to that fact.
Other features that you would like about this sensor are the fact that it can save up to 5000 collisions and store them internally. In short, it is also a data acquisition system. This means you can rely on a massive catalog of data that you can use to evaluate and improve machine performance.
Lastly, the ArmourG is easy to install on your machines, and it also includes just as easy-to-use software for threshold setting and record checking. Check out the product page to learn more.
