An A52-IR sensor with an Innovative design
The vPod Pro is equipped with our innovative multi-functional sensor—A52-IR—which has an internal piezoelectric acceleration sensor to accurately measure frequencies ranging from 1 to 10 kHz. A strong magnetic base is used under the sensor to mount it on the object to be measured. This type of mounting enhances the transmission of high-frequency signals and ensures accurate testing of bearings, gears, and other components. In addition, an infrared temperature sensor is installed under the sensor, and the vibration signal and temperature of the object can be measured simultaneously through the hole in the center of the magnetic base.
Total vibration detection
Total vibration is the most basic vibration measurement used to detect low-frequency vibration problems of rotating equipment, such as dynamic balance problems for rotating parts, shaft alignment, and looseness problems, and it can be determined initially by total vibration detection. The vPod Pro has built-in ISO 10816-3 vibration standard, which can present the alarm status of vibration value in green, yellow, or red colors, so that users can easily read or interpret them. If necessary, users can also edit their own vibration standard values and use them on vPod Pro.
Bearing status detection
vPod Pro measures vibration waveforms within the bandwidth range of 1 kHz~10 kHz and takes the "true peak" to detect the status of the bearing. This type of measurement can successfully detect and track problems in the earliest stages of bearing damage. Using its built-in bearing condition alarm system, vPod Pro displays the bearing measurement data in green, yellow, or red background colors, allowing users to easily understand the health of the bearing and take necessary maintenance measures.
Bluetooth headset diagnostic function
The vPod Pro has a built-in Bluetooth function that allows you to connect to a Bluetooth headset. After each measurement, vPod Pro will automatically play the sound of the vibration for 2~8 seconds through the Bluetooth headset. Experienced users can use this listening function as an aid to determine if the device has any abnormalities.
Camera function
The vPod Pro has a built-in camera on the back, which allows you to store measurement data and attach a picture taken on site as a record. This photo will be linked to the measurement data and sent back to the PC as an attachment when viewing the data.
Spectrum analysis function
The vPod Pro Spectrum (optional) is an advanced version with the spectrum measurement function. In addition to measuring the total vibration, bearing status, and temperature, the spectrum can also be used to diagnose vibration problems. The range of the measured spectrum is from 1 kHz bandwidth (at 1600 bars of resolution) to 10 kHz bandwidth (at 6400 bars of resolution).
Route measurement function
vPod Pro Route is the full-featured version. In addition to all of the above-mentioned features, it can also perform a large amount of data collection according to pre-scheduled route settings. This must be accompanied by the exclusive iSee software to create a database and manage all measurement data. In the scheduling mode, vPod Pro not only measures the basic total vibration, bearing status, and temperature, but also stores a separate raw waveform of the vibration signal. This raw waveform is automatically converted into waveforms, two spectrums, Envelope Spectrum, Cepstrum, and other functions when inputted into iSee software, providing a complete set of predictive maintenance monitoring parameters, filtering out problematic measurement points, tracking trend changes, diagnosing problems, and generating various reports.
