This edition of the G-TECH Insights Newsletter is proud to announce our hosting of the "High Efficiency Machining and Intelligent Monitoring Technology for Tooling Machines" seminar at the Taichung World Trade Center on 12/24. We also discuss the Modal (ODS measurement) High-sensitivity Tri-axial Accelerometer Endevco 45A Series, as well as using ODS to understand the vibration pattern of machine operations.

High Efficiency Machining and Intelligent Monitoring Technology for Tooling Machines Seminar- Taichung 12/24

We will hold a seminar on high-efficiency machining and intelligent monitoring technology for tooling machines at the Taichung World Trade Center on December 24th, 2015. The seminar will introduce Industry 4.0 and CPS technology, as well as high efficiency machining technology for tooling machines in line with the global trend of saving energy and protecting the environment. It will also introduce the important correlation between dynamic characteristics of tooling machines and machining efficiency, as well as the application of tooling machine monitoring technology to the Internet of Things. If you are interested in attending, please contact our company to register.

Modal (ODS measurement) High-sensitivity Tri-axial Accelerometer Endevco 45A Series

The case of the Endevco 45A sensor is made of titanium alloy, and the internal circuitry is connected to the case for insulating purpose. The sensors are protected from the external environment and interference with light weight and solder sealing technology. The sensitivity is divided into two types: 45A18_500 mV/g; 45A19_1000 mV/g to meet various applications and testing requirements.

Using Operational Deflection Shape Testing (ODS) to understand the vibration pattern of machine operation

ODS is a fast and effective way to diagnose the cause of equipment vibration. Using a 4-channel spectrometer and a 3-axis accelerometer with Vibrant's Me'scope modal analysis software, dynamic vibration analysis can be performed to observe the structural vibration pattern of the machine during operation. This analysis method can be used to understand the weaknesses of the structure. Such information can then be used as a basis for structural reinforcement or to improve resonance problems to reduce vibration values.
