Vibrating Camera Principles and Applications Seminar (July 17th, 2018, Kaohsiung)
Vibration cameras use a revolutionary analytical technology—motion amplification—which analyzes the continuous changes of each pixel in the video and then, through image processing techniques, amplifies tiny amplitudes by multiples of 10 to directly observe the vibration patterns. With this technique, it is even possible to extract the amplitude, vibration waveform, spectrum and phase information directly from the video or to filter the video. In addition to mechanical vibration analysis, it can also be applied to a wide range of applications in civil engineering, defense, and aerospace technology. In this seminar, we will introduce the principles of this technique and explain its practical applications.
